General Procedures

Apart from Dr Basson's special interest in shoulder and knee surgery, he also performs general orthopaedic surgery. He is also on call for the trauma unit at N1 City Hospital for all trauma related injuries. He also regularly treats other joint and soft tissue conditions. Nerve related conditions of the upper limb (eg. carpal tunnel syndrome) and tendon injuries (eg. tennis elbow) forms part of these.

Degenerative conditions of the hip (eg. osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis) and trauma related hip surgery are also treated by Dr Basson . This includes partial or total hip replacements and various other procedures.
